Yet another hog cooker in progress (with pics)

Got my new welder recently to get started on a lot of projects I have planned.  Bought a MM211, man I love this thing!  I grew up welding with my dad off and on on different projects around the house, but this is the first welder of my own.First project, hog cooker.  Bought the tank and trailer off Craigslist.  This will be a mainly gas cooker, with a grate to hold wood chips for more flavor.Started by cutting off all the brackets that I wouldn't need.  Then made all the measurements and lines to get the door square.Then braced up the lid so it wouldn't go everywhere when it was cut.  Used self tapping screws to hold the long angle iron pieces into the tank and then welded some braces on.  If/when I build another cooker, I can use this to hold the next door... just need to screw the brace on.Picture of the door cut out.  Used a cutting wheel to get it started on each corner and then finished with a sawzall.Pic of the door with the brace attached.  The brace will stay attached until I get the door hung back on the tank.I also cut three holes in the top and welded on exhaust pipes, but forgot to get pics.  Next I'm going to build the burner and get it mounted.  Hope to work on it again Sat.

Reply:Sawzall didn't shake me up to bad, just took a break in between each run.I didn't get a chance to work on the grill this weekend, didn't realize where I get my materials was closed on weekends.  I plan on going and getting supplies tomorrow, maybe I can get something done.
