Heya guys I have a dual regulator for my beer brewing equip. Both gauges read in PSI.Will this be ok to use with the Co2 tank I also have for brewing? It shows tank pressure and the pressure out to the line.....For a H.F. Dual Mig 151....\\\THANKSJoe
Reply:This is what it looks like. Seems like the same principle as the regulator HF sells.Just the readings are in PSI...http://www.kegglebrewing.com/Chudnow...ator_p_44.html
Reply:I want to know more about this brewing thing you got going, and I'm probably not alone in that thinking. If you don't use your head you may as well have been born with two backends. That ain't exactly how Papa used to say it.*Linc'n WeldanPower 200 with a Wis. 2 cyl. w/handcrank*Linc'n AC225 *Linc'n ProMig 180*tiny porta torch...
Reply:Any body ever measure the pressures involved with MIG machines? I never have but it seems pretty dern low. If so shielding gas would be 'low pressure-high volume', relatively speaking of course. You'd just have to play with it. As long as the fittings hold and there is sufficient flow........... You wouldn't know what the flow is, only know that you have enough nor not enough.
Reply:Our school fleet of ESAB and Lincoln MIGs as well as Miller Synchrowave TIGs run equally well with 35 PSI output random brand flowmeters (adjust flow to suit) or pressure regulators. I wouldn't hesitate to swap between them since we do it all the time with zero negative effect.Anyone with a standard CGA fitting argon regulator can also connect it to a CO2 cylinder. Western Brass makes an adapter with hard plastic washer (get extra washers, they get lost easily).Western Brass Cylinder Adaptor CGA-320 to CGA-580 , part # 806, about twenty bucks.
Reply:if you go to the miller website, they sell a welding calculator for like 5 bucks. it tells you how many amps, what kind of electricity, what kind of gas, and both appropriate flow and pressure for the gas. ie tig a butt joint in aluminum would be 3/32 tungsten, ac power, 140-160 amps, argon gas, 17 cfh or 20 psi, and 10 ipmit is pretty handy.Dynasty 200DXPassport plus w/ spoolmate 100victor 315c oxy/(act and prop)Miller digital elitemilwaukee power tools |
