Lincoln auto darken question

Need to find someone that has a Lincoln 3350 series helmet.I bought one yesterday because of the large viewing area and ability to handle a cheater lens, have a couple of other brands but one won't hold a cheater and they booth have small lens in them. My problem is on the new Lincoln I can't turn the sensitivity down enough that it won't go dark when I look at the side of my white truck or turn my head ever so slightly toward the sun. Just wondered if this was normal for this hood? Also if I turn the sensitivity to the middle of the range it will go dark and stay that way anytime I go outside.
