I was reading various posts this am with my coffee and saw that you are also somewhere in MA. I am in the Green Harbor section of Marshfield. The internet is a wonderfull thing. I was up-grading some home theater equipment and had a guy that wanted to buy my old gear. I told him that I was not interested in crating up and shipping all the stuff so he would have to supply that service if he still wanted it.As it turned out, instead of being on the other side of the world, he was on the other side of my own town. What are the odds of that.

Reply:Yikes. That area brings back memories. Somewhere a little to the west of you (Cumberland) there is or was a metal recycling place. When I was slow, I would haul overseas containers to make ends meet. They were shipping scrap metal overseas to build Chinese welders I was there at about 4:00PM on a Friday. The place was a S-hole and real hard to navigate through backing up a 40' container so a yard worker was directing me. He backed me right over a hunk of rebar sticking out of the ground which ripped the side out of a brand new 11-00 24" radial front tire. I had no money to use someone local to replace it so I called my tire guy to come and do it. A 4 hour service call plus the tire. Not a very good way to suppliment my income. |
