What a night...I am glad you guys are here bc I sure hope someone has an idea of what's going on.First off my equipment is as follows;Miller Syncrowave 180SDWeldtec water cooler (C5K2.5-1)Wedtec water cooled torch (20 on head... wp20???)So tonight I fired up my Tig welding rig for the first time. Everything was hooked up. I dumped an entire can of coolant in my new water cooler and it was right @ the "full" indication line. I fired it up, and I notice about 2 minutes into the cooler being on that I was developing 2 puddles... 1 @ the head where my torch plugs into the machine (there is a water hose that attached there) and 1 additional leak out back where my braided water line attached to the larger rubber water line coming from the cooler unit. It took 2 testings and desembles to check the seal before I was able to get a decent seal where I no longer have coolant leaking. But i am waiting... i feel it will come back that evil little thorn in my side!..First of all I have no prior experience on these products, but upon inspecting all the brass links on the stupid torch design, there are many "metal on metal" seals that are just terrible. They barely flush out and I ended up setting up a type of teflon tape seal which is holding (for now..) So now no leaks.. Great!. but next problem..I connect my gas open the gas bottle, my fork twist seal is still locked and no gas is getting through. then i start to open up the second gas seal and i get an immediate gas sound coming from the head of my torch... This second thing I am not sure what is going on and it is my main question.. Anybody have any ideas??... I feel like this is just a defective torch because with the head leaking gas i don't know how to deal with that...Thanks guys for your help. I really need it..BryanMiller Syncrowave 180SD WatercooledMillermatic 251
Reply:Ok edit: i figured out what was wrong with the gas. I have a gas-thru dinse connector on my welder and the re-re @ five star sold me the wrong torch that does not have a gas through dinse connector,  but the side hose connector instead. So now I am looking @ just grabbing a new gas-thru dinse from arc-zone and making it work...http://www.arc-zone.com/index.php?ma...products_id=47Does anyone know how I disconnect the power cable from my old dinse connector and connect the electrode power cable into the new dinse??? can i just cut my old dinse off because it almost looks like it is secured into the dinse somehow...Thanks guys!BMiller Syncrowave 180SD WatercooledMillermatic 251
Reply:EDIT 2!!Ok everything is figured out once i started taking a few things apart. I can indeed order that arc-zone dinse and connect everything as planned. I hope to post back soon with a working machine!BMiller Syncrowave 180SD WatercooledMillermatic 251
