I ain't the welder for my employer, but I do hobby weld. Me and one other guy work together in one shop, both of us do maintenance. I do all the mechanic work on equipment and he does the metal/fabrication/machining work. Together we pretty much do anything and everything. Our last few projects weren't much, first was week of Christmas when the rest of the place was off for layoff: We needed heat for the cold winter. After we had heat, we moved on to a slightly larger project. Taking a 35' rollback, swapping out the airbag suspension for leafs and shortening the frame 10', then swapping the 16' dump bed off of a wore out truck onto a newer more powerful one:before:after:Now we're just piddling around back to the normal groove of things. Enjoy.Last edited by paintman40; 03-28-2011 at 10:05 PM.

Reply:You need a guard over that pulley and "V" belt on the blower. OSHA will right you up for that. Anything that spins or moves needs a guard. and your fingers can not fit through the guard.
Reply:I see you have a sort of screen over the blower but the guard needs to cover EVERYTHING.OSHA never likes "it's good enough". Because "good enough usually isn't".
