Finally got some more pics of the tool box drawer

Well the wrecker company finally got around to bringing dads truck here (we decided to buy it from the insurance company). Thus I finally got a chance to get some more pics of the drawer I put in the bed. The first shot is of the passenger side that didn't get hit by the truck. We had to pry the end of the drawer down in order to get the tools out of it after the wreck. But it gives you a idea of how it's built. I basically broke a piece of 16 ga in a U with two wings. Then welded 4" purlin on each side. I used hard rubber caster wheels for the rollers. These are the best under bouncing type load in my experience. We did have to turn the outside of the wheels to fit in the purlin.  The next shot shows up in the drawer area. Each of the braces across the top is welded to a piece of 3" channel. The channels all have a post sticking out of them that the wheels run on. That was one of the trickiest parts of the whole build. I had to get all the posts in a straight line across the box. In this shot you can also see the stop for the drawer. The piece hanging down on the right hits a piece of angle bolted in the middle of the drawer.  The next shot shows the post sticking out of one of the channels. You can also see the oil light bushings and spacer left on the post after the hard rubber wheel shattered during the wreck.   The last shot shows what happened at the impact side.
