Here are a few cast Iron repairs i've made Attached Images
Reply:When I do repairs using nickle based electrodes I prefer to run shorter beads and peen the bejesus out of them. An air chipper with a pointed tool workds real well if you throttle it back. The result is a stress free weld that has the same surface finish as the casting. Its refreshing to see people still braze welding. I find spray welding to work well with exhaust headers also.
Reply:Looks great!! How do you stick weld cast, yourself?? Just preheat, weld away, bury in sand, or what??[Account Abandoned 8/8/16 Please Do Not Attempt Contact Or Expect A Reply]. See you on YouTube! -ChuckE2009 |
