Reply:that websight is selling a product, so anything they say is one sided towards there product, if it was proven that lockwashers dont work and do the opposite they would have disappeared a long time ago because of the liability...those videos taken with a lot of salt...Of all the things I lost I miss my mind the most...I know just enough about everything to be dangerous......You cant cure stupid..only kill it...

Reply:Confirms what I've always said about lockwashers, they aren't worth  a thing. Go with the flatwasher and a locknut, gr.5 or gr.8 whichever it is you need. Just be sure the washer matches the grade of the bolt.Gr8 flats on gr5 fasteners are just a waste of dollars as the connection reverts to the strength of the weakest component. Gr8 fasteners and gr5 flats are a waste and the connection reverts to a gr5 equivalent, also a waste....mike
