Is there any particular storage that is best for mig solid wire? I know electrodes for arc need to be kept dry, just wondering if humidity and the such is a problem. Thanks for any infoLast edited by Jim_in_Omaha; 03-10-2010 at 09:03 PM.

Reply:The big thing is rust. I usually just put the small rolls in ziplock bags for storage. Larger ones I'll bag and tape shut. My garage tends to sweat in the spring/fall when the weather turns so I usually try to store the spare rolls in the house where they are less likely to want to sweat. Other than that I usually just leave the spool on the machine..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:I'm thinking that I will just bring them inside and store them in the basement. The spring there always condensation on everything in the morning inside my shop. |
