Hello to all. I have a older black and decker industrial ,wildcat angle grinder 9'' . I use it for heavy fabrication and heavy grinding too and i need help trying to find a few parts for it . I would like find the grinding deflector shield the part that is closest to the grinding wheel. Also the power cord has seen better days if could find the replacement part for it would be nice.but i could always buy it at the locally hardware store . I looked all over the internet and cant find what im looking for. Any help would be appreciated . Or if some has the part im looking for ill be willing to make a offer. Also the grinder works perfectly i just don't feel safe using it the way it is thanks. any information on the B&d wildcat would be very helpful thanks again.
Reply:Hey, if the info I found on Google is right, the Wildcat was model 4049, made in several types, 1-5 or 6. Here is a website with an exploded parts diagram that might help you i.d. whether this is your grinder or not. Also I believe it gives original cord length and gauge.http://www.toolpartsdirect.com/cgi-b...r/4049_TYPE_1/If that's the right grinder, then I believe this is the parts list for the 9" guard - at least you can get part numbers from it.http://www.toolpartsdirect.com/cgi-b.../40496_TYPE_1/
Reply:Your local DeWalt service center should have those parts in stock,,,the DeWalt DW493 and DW494 are clones of the 4075 and 4076,,,you also want to try ereplacementparts.com,,their prices seem to be somewhat lower and give you several shipping options
Reply:Found parts book cord is Part #50272-98,,,they cost around 35.00,check Black&Decker ServiceNet ,,you can order parts direct from B&D,,I have seen the 7 inch guard listed on ebay for 17.99 new with really low shipping,,,there is always 5 or 6 4076 Wildcats listed on ebay anywhere from 50.00 to 200.00! I found a Type 5 4076 for 29.00,,,issue it had was a broken handle,,runs smooth,,,added new cord , switch, new grease, side handle,,,awesome tool!!! |
