Just thought I would mention it as I had used this in the past and it works great. on a UD2000 Flatbed truck I mounted a wheelchair lift on the passenger side of the bed right behind the cab. I used it to load and unload my Ranger 8 welder I had back then, Most of the lifts are rated at 800lbs lifting capacity. they will lift more but I think they have a good overload margain built in as they are for lifting people. There are 2 versions to choose from. one is electric over hydraulic and the other uses a linear actuator to raise and lower the lift. what many folks don't know is that most models will drop about 48" lower than then installed height. Excellent for mounting on any flatbed truck or even on the rear of a utility or truck bed. Once folded up they take up almost no space at all. Ricon and Braun are 2 popular brands of them. often can be had at a good price used....
