Reply:what condition, working, needs some work, needs major work?
Reply:It'll bring more than that at the scrap yard or parted out..(the leads alone are probably worth that amount) If it works and it's single phase...it'd be a deal... otherwise, unless you're looking for a project I'd probably let it slide.I'd buy it,but then I'm nuts.. and enjoy a challenge.Last edited by mudbugone; 03-29-2010 at 11:50 PM.
Reply:Take it clean it up plug it in and try it,if it works go get some grey paint and restore it so it resembles a welder again.
Reply:Anything that antique is worth it. Even if it doesn't work, you've still got a great antique you can clean up and display as a conversation piece. But, there again, I like antique tools.Of course, take my opinion with a grain of salt.
Reply:take off the panels and look inside. if the main coil is still there then your in luck because its mostly tightly wound copper should be about 30-70lbs. of copper which is well worth the work |
