I'll be starting a new project soon that will be made out of 2" pipe. I am a novice and would like some advice on setting up the pipe to tack together. I will use a chop saw to cut 45s in the pipe and then join the pipe to form a 90 degree miter joint. In the past, when I have done this, the side that I tack together draws up and leaves a gap on the other side, or worse, pulls out the pipes so I loose my 90. I could tack the toe, the heel, or either side. What is the best way to setup and tack them to take into account this phenomenon?Thank you. |
