Reply:And out here everyone wants the rust look on their fences and artsy stuff, we have to acid wash the galvanized and spray water on the mild steel to try and get it to rust. Reply:Looks like your average vehicle up here in Vermont  #1 reason I undercoat all my cars and have a winter beater. It is rediculous how fast the salt will destroy a car.

Reply:Why not replace all that rusty stuff with wood, it would probably last longer!And I thought my truck had some rust. But I can definitely feel you on salt damage. I work offshore and I'm always at the shop when I'm in chipping and painting too far gone equipment. And it's not just from the salt water, we work with heavy salt solutions like zinc bromine which will do some crazy damage.Lincoln Promig 180
