Reply:WOW! You are an awesome fabricator. How long did it take you to build the harrow?Did you use dual shield on the bucket teeth and edge? What exactly are you using that for? I have used them for leveling the sides of berms and ditches and such, but they were alot wider. I've also used them for leveling stone with a track loader."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"

Reply:OK, I'm HUMBLED..those are some absolutely beautifull welds and looks like everything lined up and fits perfectly. How much time did it take to polish the weld to blend so good. Cant even hardly see em and they shine just like the base metal too. Definately something good to aspire to.BobI'm spending my Kids inheritance, I dont like him that much anyway!!!!!!Enuff tools to do the job, enough sense to use em.Anybody got a spare set of kidneys? Reply:Beautiful! One question: with the flat blade attachment, how exactly did you make it interchangeable? I can see the hardware on the teeth but can't see how it works.
Reply:Cheers Bobtheres 2 weeks work in the last vessel. Theres alot of grit belts used on that one.All inlets are polished inside and out. No weld left as laid.
Reply:Med stuff pays good too. I was asked to repair some trays that go in an autoclave at the hospital. I fixed about 10 of em and charged em an hour for each one. They were tickled to death and commented that they expected it to be way more than it was. They keep coming back for all kinds of little projects. Sometime they exceed my ability or skill level, but dont have any issue taking what I cant handle to a" real" welding shop. Works out good for them and me since I dont have to have all the bid and purchase order stuff to contend with. I registered my little side business as a minority owned entity and that helps a lot. If you happen to think about it and your married forever like me then your wife can be a huge lever when it comes to getting work. And I got no problem being the employee anyway... I dont do irate customer issues very well at all. Glad my wife welds and does ornamental iron too, it really makes getting new stuff easy when we "need" it. Come to think of it, I "need" a bigger tig welder this year, so I will be campaigning for that next time she is in the shop on a saturday with me...BobI'm spending my Kids inheritance, I dont like him that much anyway!!!!!!Enuff tools to do the job, enough sense to use em.Anybody got a spare set of kidneys? It avoids having two different buckets when he usually uses it with individual tips., |
