Built this last year after I seen a gap under my door letting all the cold air in.  The welds aren't that good because I didn't spend much time on it.

Reply:what did you make it out of?have you ever used brass? i watched something on this old house where these guy's used brass for the weather stripping and found it to be the best out of all the available weatherstrippingI break things for a living...
Reply:It is aluminum. The old one had the rubber seal in it that got all tore up over the years. So instead of having the seal where it gets abused, stepped on, etc. I put the actual rubber seal on the bottom of the door and welded up the aluminum threshold that should never have problems again.I think it would be cool to have stainless covered doors. Like the stainless fridge doors.
