Here ar esome pictures of the latest ATV utility trailer I fabricated last weekI fabricated all the profiled sides from 18g steel and folded them on my box and pan folder and then seam welded them to 40mm x 40mm SHS. The hinge system for the mesh sides was my own simple design of a bit of angle with welded to the uprights and a piece of round bar welded to the mesh frames. The trailer size is 5ft long by 3ft3 wide and 3 ft deep.Hope you like what you see!

Reply:Looks very nice. Unfortunately the business that stamp those pieces out of a little lighter material will sell them much cheaper that a quality produced unit can be made for

Reply:I dig it!!! I like the rust brown primer/paint. Of course I liked the other solid sided trailer too. What do you do for a tail gate on these?
Reply:A great well thought out project.Primer is OK, but green and yellow would make it tow like a Deere.

Reply:Good looking trailer. What do you suppose the weight is on it? Did you consider making the top portion of the bulk head expanded metal (see through) on one? The driver could make visual checks on the contents that way.Last edited by Sandy; 05-21-2011 at 11:55 AM.Reason: spelling"The things that will destroy America are prosperity at any price, peace at any price, safety first instead of duty first, the love of soft living and the get rich quick theory of life." -Theodore Roosevelt

I can fabricate them up, galvanise them and sell them on for 500 pounds and still make a profit!
