Looking for TIG Welder Advice

First of all, I would consider myself a hobby welder at best and am very interested in becoming better at it. I plan on taking a course in the fall at my local community college to aid in my efforts. I have recently acquired a 2004 SW250dx with running gear, 3x cooler, and pedal. This thing has never been plugged in before and there isn't a scratch on it. I installed the jumpers for 240V and connected it to my 60A breaker. As far as I can see, it powered on with no problems. I am wondering if I should sell this thing and by a smaller TIG welder. Will anybody buy this thing without it being tested? What do you think I can get for it? I just think it will never be used to it's full potential in my garage. What would you guys do?Thank you for your time.

Reply:Definitely keep it! That's a great machine. You might even outgrow it. I never expected to use everything my syncrowave 300 had, but I have.
Reply:You will be crushed by guilt for learning on such a machine instead of suffering with lesser gear and earning your rewards through struggle!The only ethical thing to do is crate it and ship it to me, for nothing, and purge yourself of equipment that is too good for you. Luckily, I am here to help.
Reply:Yeah, I guess it's a no brainer. I just ordered almost everything I need to start using it. My electrician neighbor is going to hook up a 100A disconnect for me this weekend. I think the only thing left to order is that connector for my WP20 torch. Thanks for the input guys. It is much appreciated.
