Reply:huh: why on the Dinse connnector MisterB? I think of Teflon tape as a sealant, though it could also be thought of as an anti-seize I suppose... Seems to me it just reduces the contact area for current transfer in that case, but maybe you've had problems with seizing? Reply:I was told  you don't need tape or dope anywhere on a TIG machine .. and I didn't. Nothing leaked. Had to tighten a few fittings pretty tight, though.
