help with price

Reply:I can't find the flyer for my LWS but roughly heres what I remember... An 80cf of O2 filled is about $165-185, the  75cf acet at least $125-145. The torch/regs depends on what they are... A cheap import set will run $100, the victors and so on $300 or more. Add the cost of the cart and the extra hose to all this.It's not a screaming deal. but the price isn't that bad. I'd expect you would save $150-250 over going in to the LWS and buying it all as is with out looking up the actual prices. You can reduce your savings if the cyls are not full. I think the 80 of O2 for me is about $35 a refill, and I forget the acet but it's probably about the same. If the cyl are not full (or 3/4) I'd try to bargin him down $50 or so to cover fills. I'd make a few calls to the LWS and see what they get for cylinders and torch sets and what the refills on those cyl would be. That way you can haggle with solid numbers and know what sort of deal you are getting.To me the O2 is a bit small if you plan to do a lot of cutting, but when you exchange the cyl the next time most places will allow you to upgrade to a lager size by just paying the cost difference for the next bigger size. You will probably use 3x that O2 cyl to every 1 acet cutting. For a hobbiest/ light shop the sizes are not bad. They are the usual size combo that most get..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:The torches are victor 300. The gauge readings on the o2 is 800 psi. Ace. is 210. Not sure how to gauge them as far as being full/empty. Anyone? Thanks for the advice.
