Hey guys,Here in my area, I noticed a marked increase in the price of MIG wire, stick, & TIG rod. The LWS prices were 20% higher this week when I went in for bottle exchanges. They remarked it was an increase from the manufacturers & had no control over prices. I'm glad I stocked up on wire/rod last year when I found it on sale, mainly on E-Bay. I was lucky last week getting a 33lb spool of Techniweld .030 for $30(incl.s/h) & a 12lb roll of Gulf Wire .035 5356 for $25(incl s/h).Have any of you in the different areas of the country experienced price increases as I have here in the NE? Reply:Airgas had across the board increases recently, I don't recall the percentage, several percent maybe.

Reply:my supplier warned me last month that we would see a large inrease across the board no matter the vendor so I stocked up and bought 4,000 lbs of wire to last me a while

I about crapped my pants the last time I went in and bought some 6010 and 7018 rod. $55 for a 10lb can of premium brand 6010, and I don't remember the 7018 price cause I was in sticker shock ....side note: Have you bought a quart of motor oil recently? I went into the local autozone to grab an extra quart to finish an oil change. $4.59 for non-synthetic valvoline/penezoil/mobil oil. I found a bottle of XXX brand, for $2.60.
