Reply:Even my 9 year old daughter is into tig welding. She really doesn't care for mig, and doesn't even want to try stick. Here's what she did after sitting down with the tig torch on her own for a while. She ran some without filler before trying some greater coordination with filler. I'm just a farmer, but I'm glad she has an appreciation for building and repairing out machinery. Lincoln Precision Tig 185Lincoln Power Mig 256Hypertherm PM 45Everlast 140STSmith O/A

Really cool if he's on board go for it, could be the Doogie Hauser of welding by the time he's 12. No wonder she is intruiged with TIG more so than the other processes. |
