How long will it take to get that joint done? How many times have you heard that before? Some times the question is warranted, many times it isn't. Depending on the job, its importance, that is what will dictate the time. Gotta love it when the estimator cuts the hours just to get the job. Then there's the unexpected that nobody accounted for especially on maintenance work etc etc. I always tell'em "It gets done when it gets done".What do you folks do?Last edited by sftyvlv; 03-06-2013 at 05:44 PM.Reason: spelling error
Reply:I always tell em you got me to weld it for a reason, you wanted it through xray the first time. If you wanted it faster and done at least twice you shoulda got one of your sucka$$ hacks.
Reply:couple more tokes oughta do it!
Reply:Boss, estimator, fitter.....don't matter who.....take a minute and give him my best guess....that's part of the job.
Reply:First time someone asks I'll give them a reasonable answer, accurate to the best of my abilites. Next time "It'll be another 4 hours more than the last time you asked me". usually that's all it takes and they'll leave me alone.....Mike
