Reply:I think the newer Matco welders are some chinese imports now. I may be wrong about that but I remember reading somewhere about their welders being made in china.
Reply:On the back it has a sticker with a serial number of c957498. model.number that is blank and a date code of. 082389
Reply:Okay, take a pic of the front of the machine. Perhaps if we can see the voltage selector and/or power switch, it might help. Also, take a few pics of the mig gun itself and the nozzle tips and defuser, etc.... It may be hard for you to find replacement parts for that mig gun itself. Second, on the inside cover panel, is there any type of chart for your "settings"?Lincoln Power Mig 216Lincoln AC/DC-225/125Miller 625 X-Treme PlasmaMiller 211 Forney 95FI-A 301HF 91110Victor Journeyman O/PMilwaukee DaytonMakita Baileigh NRA Life Member

Reply:Jack, your welder is a 90 amp machine. It came with a Tweco gun, probably a Mini Mig. Duty cycle is from 100% to 20%. Shows a 30' power cord, and apparently has spot/stitch settings.

Reply:I tried to post a pic but i can't figure out how it looks like the PDF that blue posted. Now I probably track down a manual for it. I know it's only 90 amp but I want to get the most out of it. It does have a 30 ft power cord and it looks pretty thin would bigger wire help and could I do the capacitor mod to this? |
