anybody here ever plug and redrill an axle shaft to different lug pattern? pigpen
Reply:I have not. but why refill push out the studs and drill new in between? leave the old holes for a change of mind thing.Miller thunderbolt 250Decastar 135ERecovering tool-o-holic ESAB OAI have been interested or involved in Electrical, Fire Alarm, Auto, Marine, Welding, Electronics ETC to name a just a few. So YES you can own too many tools.

Reply:I have tried to do this and its very difficult to do well, but it can be done. I dont know if it will work for you have you thought about bolt on adapters? Check these guys out. http://www.motorsport-tech.com/ I bought a set off them this spring for a different application than what you are working on. Real nice parts. They pilot on the hub and wheel to keep things concentric. Mine are smooth to 110mph+.
Reply:You are not going to weld and plug and drill and tap any axle flange.Go in between the holes and drill and tap OK but you better know what you are doing..With the RIGHT equipment...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:I know the dirt track guys do it all the time to ford 9''. adapters work well for some application.Theres a guy call fred something in caily if I remeber right. old drag racer and makes adapters. Great guy super helpful. He would steer you in the right path. I'll try and find his web site.Pound to fit, paint to match
