Diversion 165 Mods?

So I have been looking on the net and I am looking to do a few mods to my 165. I know I defiantly want to change the handle. I am currently using a foot pedal so its time to get rid of the dumb finger control. So I will be swapping handles. p/n on the ribbed handle is Weldcraft® 105Z55R dose anyone know the smooth handle p/n? I also wanna swap the super stiff power cable, I would like to go with weld craft 57Y01RC with is a 12.5' length hose. I defiantly like to go to with a 25' hose but can the diversion handle a 25' hose? or should I stick with the 12.5' ?? Reply:You can probably keep the torch head and just change the handle and cable if you want. Sounds like your head is the same as the WP-17 head for my Syncrowave 200. The 25' lead/hose should work fine. The braided covered lead/hose on my WP-17 is very flexible.The WP-17 head is a bit big compared to the WP-20 watercooled torches I've used in the past, but unless you plan to go to a cooler and water cooled torch, thats not an option. The WP-9 air cooled head is smaller, but onlly rated at 125 amp. That would be too small for me unless all I was doing was light gauge work. If I needed a smaller head, I'd just bite the bullet and upgrade to the water cooled WP-20 myself. Right now I'm holding off on going to the watre cooled torch for cash reasons. I don't need the extra amps all the time, and can wait while things cool down to continue. Reply:CK sells a 17 size air cooled head that is flexible.   you can bend the portion between the handle and the head like sort of like Gumby.    actually if you really preffer a different angle you can bend the regular ck17... once or maybe twice. the flexy head can be re-bent as needed.I like that option.
