I got a tour of the thermodyne plant in Denton, Tx today. It was a pretty cool place. this is where they make a lot of Victor and Tweeco stuff. Most of the manufacturing was cutting tips torches and gauges. But a lot of the Tweeco contact tips are made there. I got to go around to practically every station and see what and how they made it. I was kind of surprised that much of the stuff was still made here. However they said most everything gets assembled in Mexico after it is made here.Overall it was a cool place. Didn't get any pictures I didn't think that they would like that much.
Reply:yeah i toured thru there last year. was pretty kewl quite a bit of automation the guy that trained me went thru before they began automating things. apparently it quite a bit more impressive then. but seeing the processes was pretty neat.
