Just for fun, here's dad's rooster dating back to 1973. Dad was a welder over in the Air Force. He did with a torch what most of you fellas use tig for. When he got home, he was finishing his degree at Purdue, welding up some art pieces by day, and a policeman by night. The first rooster actually went into a garbage truck because it was positioned too close to the road. He had to scramble to put this second one together for art class. I included before and after pictures. I decided the ol rooster needed a better head dress and a wing. He'll stay in clear coat for a few months before he goes to JD green, yella, and rust again. Reply:Leo is on the right track! Most of the rooster's pieces are from farm impliments. Grampa Charlie's farm had alot to choose from at that time! Attached Images-MikeThurston WeldingHuntington, IN |
