Hi, Would it be worth while connecting a wire feeder to a Ranger 8? What output could you reasonably expect? Would it handle say 30 /35 flux core wire an weld 1/4" plate? Would a smaller unit like an 8 VS be more suitable? Anyone doing this, Thanks for any replies,
Reply:I bought a used LN-25 and it runs .035 flux great! I would highly recommend an LN-25 or similar feeder, run your ranger in cv and you'll do great. It will run .045, but not hot enough to be worth it. It will run 035 flux or solid mig great, and do 1/4" no problem. Reply:Thanks", For the useful and interesting, replies, Now I know, The Ranger 8 would have enough piff for a feeder, |
