if your gonna short arc some stainless with a lincoln 180c mig. i know helium trimix is a good way to go. can you use any other gas combos and get a passable job done? preferably something that come in a smaller cylinder size say 40 cf or 80cf bottle size" All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream." Reply:perfect thanks pulser i appreciate the link ! helped alot!! i think i can get the 98/2 in a smaller cylinder its not the ideal mix but will work good chart give a guy some options!" All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream." Edgar Allan Poe
Reply:I would go with the tri-mix gas and use short circuit transfer with your small machine. If you were welding thick stainless with a bigger machine, the 98/2 and spray transfer would be useful.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op

Reply:I think the 95% Ar/ 5% CO2 would be the choice for short arc, if you can't get the tri-mix.
