Reply:I would buy according to how it will fit on the machines I have, and plan on having without needing adaptersDynasty 200DXPassport plus w/ spoolmate 100victor 315c oxy/(act and prop)Miller digital elitemilwaukee power tools
Reply:If the machine you buy has dinse only available and you want Tweco, you could get a couple of these http://tinyurl.com/7awdbnz although at $40 a pop the price seems riduculous. Here's a bunch of 10 for $70 http://tinyurl.com/cver6xt .My preference is Tweco as it seems to be more popular at least 'round here...Mike
Reply:Tweco style is what we use in America, buy adapters for your dinse machine and be done with it.Disclaimer; "I am just an a$$hole welder, don't take it personally ."
Reply:ok thanks  can anyone post up a pic of the ends on the web when i look for images they look about the same. i guess ill go tweco
Reply:You want Tweco 2MPC style, or Lenco LC40, they're both the same. On my leads, I always put red electrical tape on the ends of one so if I have to switch polarity or my leads just become a friggin tangled mess, I'll know which is which. Now I see Lenco offers their connectors in various colors, i.e. red, to solve that problem."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"
Reply:I have found that you can "tighten" a loose or worn tweco as well. The male end usually has a split in it that can be opened up to tighten the connection. DINSE- once they loosen up you replace them.
Reply:In Europe dinse connectors are dirt cheap. Like $1.50 for a male.I can't see how dinse connectors can loosen up. You plug them in and turn them until they are tight, exactly like a bolt.PS. Since the OP have a tig machine be aware that you might have a dinse with gas thru. Then the same connector is used for both power and gas. If you connect a tig torch with a tweco connector you have no way of supplying the gas. http://www.ckworldwide.com/safe_loc.htmIt seems that most newer inverter tigs in the US come with dinse connectors. If you only have one machine and it's dinse you might as well stick to dinse for now. If you later on want to change it's a simple thing to put on another connector on the cable. Attached ImagesLast edited by Pete.S.; 04-08-2013 at 10:53 AM.
Reply:right now i have a tig with dinse, and a stick welding im looking to cut the cable and install longer cable but i want them to be able to twist off .Im also looking to buy a miller gas/diesel welder but the money is just not there yet. so i want to be able to move the cables around easy. The Tweco is just a screw thread  right ?

Reply:my lincoln SquareWave TIG and my Miller XMT 304 both have factory female DINSE receptacles on the panels........I wanted to convert my ESAB's ground with a dinse receptacle just so i could share my favorite leads with each machine if i had to.  My local LWS had only the twecos all over the shelves, I said WTF.. they said they were the norm around here..I see mostly engine drives there, hmm        thermal arc 252i  -  millermatic 350P -   miller XMT, cp300ts, 30a 22a feeders, buttload of other millers, handfull of lincolns, couple of esabs  -   Hypertherm 1250 G3
Reply:Lenco makes Dinse to Tweco adapters and vice versa. You can get them on-line if your LWS doesn't have them.JohnA few weldersA lot of hammersA whole lot of C-clamps
Reply:that you ive seen many adapters  just wanted to be sure i dont buy the wrong ones . whats the best places to buy them and cable from over internet ?
Reply:Buy them from your local welding supply.  That way when you need a local welding supply you'll have one.  I literally bought one yesterday. $17.Syncrowave 300Maxtron 450, S-52E, 30A
Reply:Ok thank you guys for all the help. I have to buy online there are a few reasons for  this  when i get a chance i do buy in state. but right now its not the time.So the pic of the  tweco  is there a lug that keeps the cable locked on ?  Thanks very much for the pic
Reply:The dinse to twist lock adapter can be had pretty cheap on eBay...http://www.ebay.com/itm/LENCO-LDA-MA...item27d1059f89The best price I've found for all that stuff is www.waresdirect.comYou have to search pretty hard to find what your looking for, and buy in bulk (because of shipping charges)
Reply:7A749 thank you for teaching me the trick about the screw driver now i full understand it in my head with out having one in hand.yea i plan to make one order around a grand for all the cables and plugs needed at once so i only have to bite shipping once
