anyone have any experience with them? I had some time and decided I would stop by the pawn shop to see what they had. On the end of one of the aisles I was shocked to see a suitcase sitting there!!! it was the ln-15, looked in good shape and that it was all there. I have heard people always raving over how good the ln-25 is, so I assume this unit should be of the same quality? I have read in my limited research it only holds a 10lb spool. I am going to try and see what all is needed to hook up to my vantage. The best part is the tag is dated from november and the price is $480
Reply:I went and picked up the machine. Plugged it onto the vantage. Set it for cv wire weld terminals on. Couldn't get the machine to power up. Do I need the ground clamp as well. I was under the impression I didn't buy I obviously don't know what I'm doing. I checked both manuals and couldn't get it

Reply:ok. I guess what was confusing me was that all the diagrams in the manual do not show a ground clamp, or at least I over looked it. so once I hook the clamp to ground, it will complete the circuit and power the machine up? The only reason I did not try that is because I was not in my truck(leads are in tool box)
Reply:I was thinking why didnt I try that? lol. I will go back tomorrow and see what happens. $400 out the door. I have been looking for one for a while at a bargain. today I had some free time so I stopped in the pawn shop and was pleasently surprised. I scored my maxstar this way
Reply:good to know. thanks!
Reply:got another question. this cable was inside my machine, any idea what it is used for?
