Picked up two 13LB spools of Crown Alloy 5053 for a steal. I've tried doing a search but didn't find much about what it was or could be use for. Just looking for any info on the alloy and what I could use the wire for. Thanks
Reply:You can probably weld aluminum with that but what do I know......zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:I use 1# spools for spool gun.  13# would not work for my machine. You might want to try to sell if your machine won't push/pull.
Reply:True Zap, and lmao I pulled a braindead move. The wire is ER5356, and not 5053 which is the lot number. And a family member got it at a yard sale as they know I'm into welding. Also I have a Airoco spool gun, but no push/pull feeder. So not sure what I'm going to do with the wire yet.
