got a second hand bandsaw of the bay.stand that came with it was crap so had to make new one out of 50x50x2mm box.its not perfect but needed something quick as both my 3 & 4 yr old love to be in workshop with me.stand will evolve as i go only mods done so far is removal of length stop and replacing it with some 1/2" round 1at 20" and 1 at 7' have also drilled and tapped moving jaw so can hold smaller stuff.have re-used shelf that came with it will be fitting shelf to bottom later Attached Images
Reply:The OE stand is a danger to everyone and the machine. I used a 2 drawer file cabinet and put the cooler and pump in the top drawer. The bottom drawer is for spare blades and wrenches for the saw specifically. Never have to hunt for a tool or blade/ Have fun, and if you havent you should join the Yahoo 4X6 group and follow the set up and break in procedure including changing the gearbox oil to get the casting sand out and fresh clean lube in.
