I just purchased a Hypertherm Powermax 45 and I was wondering if anyone had any pictures or ideas on how to mount an air filter near the machine? I would like to keep it portable but I can't really think of a way to mount the Motor Guard M-26 filter aside from making an aluminum base for it to mount to. I tried finding pictures on welding web of a hypertherm 45 with a M-26 mounted, but I had no luck. Any ideas/pictures would be greatly appreciated.ThanksMillermatic 211Hypertherm Powermax 45 Miller Elite welding helmetA garage that is to damn small
Reply:For my 1250 I built a little cart for it to make it mobile.  I have a piece of angle iron coming up one corner that attached to a small plate that I anchored the mount to.  Pics might not be easy to tell, but hope it helps. Reply:Here's what I came up with to keep the plasma cutter portable. It added a little bit of weight but not a whole bunch. I used 1/8" alum and mounted the 20 micron air filter as well as the motorgaurd M-26 to it. I also put rubber pads on the bottom to keep it off the ground a bit. I wanted to have a 2 stage air filter to extend the life of the M-26 before entering the plasma cutter. Let me know what you guys think.
