I've got a pile of them.  Any use of them at all?
Reply:Scot,I have found several things that burnt rod ends are good for.They're good at puncturing tires.They're good at tripping over on hard surfaces.If you leave them out on the concrete in the weather, they're good at leaving a semi-permanent orange shadow where they were.Even though they're good at all of these things, I usually throw them out with the metal scrap.Maybe you could use them to build welded stick-men.
Reply:Your rod stubs should be 2" or less and petty much in the trash.  When working on a project the rods that I partially have used I will then use for tacking if there half the length and if they are longer then I'll use them to run a bead.
Reply:I keep a cleaned out 1 gallon metal paint can near by to throw the stubs in.  I do that mostly cuz they're hot and to keep them out of tires.  Once the can gets full, it gets dumped in with the other scrap.My name's not Jim....
