Alright I know I'm new here, but I have been running a nelweld6000 for the past 2 years. I haven't really had too many problems. At least nothing too bad where I couldn't figure it out. I work in a bridge shop and working on girders and running blue arc 7/8" studs. Typically we Run nelson. Well we're running into the issue of a lot of blow back with slag, and not completing the collar on the outsides of the flanges. Down the center shoots great. I shot no more then 30 bad ones last time we ran the first stage of the job which was 45 girders. Now I'm ranging 20-35 per girder. No more then 172 studs and as little 132. At this point I'm at a loss. It's getting to the point where it's super frustrating. Any help would be great.
