I was at my local surplus store and they had 2 miller p/n122973 25' extension cables. I picked one up because it says it will work with various feeders. I am wondering if this cable will work to extend the foot pedal on my miller xmt or power up a 12rc feeder. The cable has 8 of the 14 pins used. http://www.ssccontrols.com/homepage-weldingcables.htm has the 8 pin listed as being used for amp controls and feeders. Thanks, ChrisTOO MANY TOOLS & NO MORE SPACE

Reply:I powered up the machine and pluged in the foot pedal by itself. It displays the amperage and when not depressed the voltage screen is blank. When the pedal is depressed, the voltage screen displays 80 something volts no matter how much it is pushed down. It does exactly the same with the extension attached so I guess it is working properly. I just might have to go back for the second cable.TOO MANY TOOLS & NO MORE SPACE |
