He is getting it wrapped up in a box with another piece of metal (for weight) and a hacksaw blade Last edited by larphead; 12-16-2011 at 05:01 PM.If you cant fix it with a hammer, it must be an electrical problem."Boy, everyone starts with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. Reply:you should have the other piece of metal just the right size to slide over that one and have 1 or both ends capped so that the metal is the wrapping "paper"There are no problems. There are only solutions. It's your duty to determine the right one.Hobart Handler 210Airco 225 Amp MSM Stinger

Reply:Fab-ulous! I like it so much I am heading out to the LWS this morning to see if they have some gel. If they do I'm going to make one of those for my son! Reply:Thanks for the comments guys. I think I should have offset the holes though, that would really drive him nuts. The girl at the gas station got a kick out of it when I tried to use it to pay for gas. LOL.BTW, that gel IS pretty handy sometimes. The salesman sold me on it when he sprayed it on the palm of his hand and the held a lighter to it for a solid minute.Last edited by larphead; 12-17-2011 at 01:19 PM.If you cant fix it with a hammer, it must be an electrical problem."Boy, everyone starts with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. Reply:Neat idea! Well done and beautiful besides. I'm sure that one will go on the guy's trophy shelf.Contrary to popular opinion, I do NOT have a pet turkey that craps molten steel. It's a goose.I liked your idea so much I stole it. I didn't have any heat gel so I went with a roll of quarters. I left enough room for them to jingle around, but not turn sideways. We done our gift exchange today, I just wrote "Tim" on the package all wrapped up when he opened it he knew who had gotten his name lol. Reply:Thanks for the inspiration! My 12 yr. old nephew will be unwrapping something similar. I'd post a picture, but mine's far to ugly to share. I included a note explaining that it could be kept or traded for a day in the shop working on a project of his choosing.
Reply:I made a batch.. including a little sawhorse version for my mother's desk at work. And a tiny one for a keychain for my friend's birthday/christmas combined.I haven't 'dressed' them up yet, or polished them, but it got late, got to finish them first thing in the morning! Yes.. the welds are horrendous... but I got lazy since they're being ground down anyhow.Miller: 200dx, Bobcat 225, Passport, Powermax 45, Milwaukee: Dry Saw, MagDrill, grinders
