Reply:Do you build from scratch or just a spec sheet? Or do your customers send you pre-cut parts for you to assemble?

Reply:Hey BC, I have done a couple of tanks in the past year, usually out of 1/8". One customer insisted on bringing his own material, as he could get it cheaper, but it was 3/16. I was welding it up and had a heck of a time with it. My machine was floored at 180 amps for most of it, and it seemed I could have used an extra 10-20 amps to make it a much easier weld. I was using 100% Argon, 3/32 ceriated tungsten at up to 180 amps. The machine is a Syncrowave 180SD (older version with no digital display). I notice that you are using what seems to be a lot fewer amps for most of your projects. Is this due to the more adjustable nature of your machine? Also, you seem to be using blended gases quite a bit. Would youmind giving a small disertation on whem to use the different blends? Thanks,
