I went for a weld test today and when i got there it was a three inch and they wanted 6010 all the way out. That was a first for me. Im a pipe welder but if its stick its 6010 root and hotpass with a 7018 filler and cap. So when he told me to run the 6010 all the way out i was a little dumb founded... If i would have realized it was pipe liner work i might have gotten it down better. But for some dumb *** reason i ran all vert up and tried to weave my filler and cap which just screwed it all up, just couldnt seem to get it right for some reason. They let me do another one and which it was still vert up i just ran single stringers all the way around. The cap was a 5/32 rod and just a longer gap to get the size and width i needed. This one was perfect, but i i would have known it was pipe line i know that you pipe liners run it hot and all down hill, unless im mistaken, but i know im not...lol.... Let me know how you liners doit if you could please.....sorry so long, just dont know when to shut up....lol..... Thanks, Hammer |
