ive been working for a trailer manufacturer for 6 months now mig welding steel and aluminum. today i overheard that we have two stainless trailers coming up, funny thing is i havent welded stainless since school 4 years ago so i forget the details. I was just wondering what gas to use, transfer mode, etc, any bit will help so i dont look to much like and idiot lol
Reply:Tri mix is what is recommended. Lots of people also use a 98argon 2/co2 mix. Reply:98/2 would be for a "SPRAY WELD" set up which you would need a good sized machine to accomplish properly.......Tri mix is what you need........Check what it recommends for settings inside the cover of your machine or owners manual...
