AD lens colors

I know this has been covered before, and in reality, what hasn't in a forum of this size.I did search for my answer and did find some good info, but I need more.I hate looking through green lenses.I LOVE my gold #10 fixed lense; yea the big one But with what I am required to do at my job, an auto darkening helmet is just about a necessity.  I bought the Miller Digital Performance and while not thrilled with it, I can live with it. For the last 4 months I've been using it exclusively, until the head gear broke (see the other thread by me about that  )I dropped the old fixed gold and wow! I miss it!So here is what I am asking:1) Who makes an auto dark in something other than Green?2) Do you have (or know the whereabouts of) any through the lens welding shots(pictures or videos)  of the different shields?I have heard a lot of second hand info, but I'm not going to go buying a bunch of different hoods just to verify it. Unless welding web wants to chip in a whole lot of money Thanks!
Reply:My miller auto lens is purple and I know most singles 240s are blue along with radnors. I use the 2x4 lens Personally I have 2 hoods. One "pancake" from wendys shields custom made black and white with some mods too it. And a pipeline 110 made by fibremetal. Probably the most well constructed durable hoods on the market and affordable to boot! Both under 75$ each and lens cost under 120$ I wouldnt have it any other way.Last edited by Bostick101; 08-22-2013 at 08:57 PM.
Reply:The Jackson Nexgen is a yellow/orange puddle color.  I like it much better than the Speedglas and similar green shaded lenses...

Reply:I tried a NexGen brand new one time at a welding supply open house, and they touted how it had an amber color AD lense. Bull****. It's just as green as my Miller helmet. Go to a fixed shade if you want to change colors. My fixed shade Jackson has a nice orange color to it when I weld. Shade 10.
