A couple of days ago I had a pacemaker implanted to correct a low heart rate. I noticed in the paperwork that arc welding is not recommended. If you have a pacemaker and and have welded, would share your experience with me? Thank you.Jack
Reply:Jack please do yourself a favor and talk to your Dr. I'll say two guys I work with have pacemakers and when they got them there welding was over. High frequency really wreaks havoc on them. Sorry, that's probably not what you wanted to hear. Let is know what the Dr says. Good luck
Reply:Sorry to hear that! Let us know what the Dr says. I've read it's HF that causes issues, but wonder if you can still mig weld or lift arc tig weld?Torchmate 2x2 CNC with Flashcut CNC controlsHypertherm Powermax45 Esab ET220i Razorweld 195 MigRazorweld 200ac/dc TigTormach 770, Tormach xstechRazorweld, Vipercut/Vipermig, SSC Foot Pedal Dealer
Reply:Follow your doctor's advice. If you take the advice of some dude on a welding forum over your cardiologist, two words. Reply:You can still weld with oxy/acetylene.
