Here is a table that I just finished up to go beside my recliner.
Reply:Its 27" tall with the monitor stand extending an additional 5" and is off set. It is 12" wide and 24" long, made out of 1"x1" square tubing. I still have to cut the MDF for the top of the shelves.
Reply:Interesting set up. I would like to see the final outcome with the computer rigged up and sitting by the recliner. That seems like it would be a more comfortable way to go than what I have at home. I would recommend 3/4" Oak plywood with 3-4 coats of MinWax polyurethane gloss varnish instead of MDF. It will look a lot better in a living room environment. I think Home Depot has it in half sheets, 4'X4'.
Reply:My computer is on a table beside my recliner now but the monitor sits on the table. I use a lap top desk board for the keyboard and mouse. I am a World of Warcraft junkie so when I get into the game for several hours I want to be comfortable. I will post pics of the completed project with computer set up on it.

Reply:got to pull the wires up and tuck them a little better.
Reply:Nice setup. When I want to relax, and the wife is out, I use the laptop connected to the big screen with wireless mouse and keyboard on the sofa. I like the new table maybe if the wife lets me...Century Powermate 100 ( my first welder)Lincoln Precision TIG 185
Reply:Just make it and while she is out put it in place. Its easier to ask for forgivness than to ask for permission.
Reply:Great JobWalt
Reply:Oh comon' now...I have seen WAY flimsier designs than that......zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:bhardy you look like the owner from "sons of guns". you gonna put that on an episode with a .50 cal. mounted on the side. nice job. dave.
Reply:Hey thats a thought, I might have access to 2 Barrett 50s that would work.
Reply:bhardy: Nice work. I see your wife has a can of air freshener over by the T.V. Jeez, they're all alike.
Reply:its great to have a need occur to you and then think it out, and make it work..a suggestion to everybody.. look into getting a rollerball style mouse..instead of moving your shoulder and elbow everytime you need to move the cursor, you keep your arm still and roll the ball with your thumb..sorry to hijack but foto made me think of it..save the arm strokes for 6010....
Reply:I tried a rollerball style mouse but cant control it enough to use it while gaming. I dont know if any of you guys play World of Warcraft but all the spells and abilities are on the action bar and I couldnt go from one to another fast enough with the ball style.
