I set up my Lincoln 355 with two torches (WP-20- WP-18 )   After looking at the Dynasty machine with the plug in connectors I was wondering how I would put two torches on it?  Miller Dynasty 350Twenty Six HammersThree Crow BarsBig Rock
Reply:the torch is connected with a quarter turn quick release dinse conector, not too difficult to switch between 2 torches easily enough, especially if you got 2 pair of gas line quick releases 2, probably the easiest & most practical way.if you wanted to get creative it wouldn't be too difficult to build an adapter from the dynasty & connect 2 torches at the same time, use a dinse connector into the dynasty & rig it to 2 standard power cable adapters even, the gas line fitting can be tee'd off of no problem with the right fitting, but the whole advantage of the dinse connector quick release setup is swapping back & forth between torches is really easy enough I'd say...miller 330a bp TIGmiller dynasty 200DX TIGmillermatic 185 MIGthermal dynamics cutmaster 101 plasma cuttersnap-on YA5550 plasma cutterhypertherm powermax 30 plasma cutterbaileigh CS225 cold sawetc....
Reply:I cant imagine you ever being able to cook a wp-20 even with a sustained duration of welding at 300A AC, I wouldnt even bother with the 18.Have we all gone mad?
Reply:The WP-18 is nice if you want to fit a large cup for walkin the cup, like the 17 series torch. We all know the WP20 is limited in the cup size, lol.
Reply:Looks like in your setup you're running coolant through both torches all the time.  Wouldn't that effectively cut the cooling to either torch in half, even when you're not using it?  If you're using a smaller cooler, that could be a problem...

Reply:BC,Setting the Dynasty 350 up for two torches is going to be more complicated than with the Lincoln because of the use of the 50mm dinse connectors vs the old power block. You may want to check out torches from Weldtec.  They're what I use now on both the Sync and the Dynasty. They make what they call a 20H which is rated for up to 300A and will take a 5/32" tung. What I use from them is the Speedway 320, which is a 20 size torch, but is rated for up to 320A and will take a 5/32" tung.  Been real happy with the torch/hoses.  In fact, if you want to try one before you buy, give me a call and I'll ship my spare out to you to try.Let me know.Syncro 250 DX Dynasty 200 DXMM 251 w/30A SG XMT 304 w/714 Feeder & Optima PulserHH187Dialarc 250 AC/DCHypertherm PM 1250Smith, Harris, Victor O/ASmith and Thermco Gas MixersAccess to a full fab shop with CNC Plasma, Water Jet, etc.

Reply:As much as I can do with a WP-20 with a 1/8" tungsten some times you just need "the club" with a big old 5/32" for the heavy stuff.Disclaimer; "I am just an a$$hole welder, don't take it personally ."
Reply:10-4 on that.........I just like knowing that  everything is happy and after going over 270amps I feel OK with the WP-18......Might just be me.....I don't know...  Miller Dynasty 350Twenty Six HammersThree Crow BarsBig Rock
Reply:Have you tried the brown end Zirconiated tungstens, I think they hold more heat than Thoriated.Disclaimer; "I am just an a$$hole welder, don't take it personally ."
Reply:yeah I have and your right it does last longer in between dressings  but my square wave  will kill an 1/8" tungsten at above180 amps on AC  no matter what it is, unless I run the wave setting toward the penetration side of the scale  Miller Dynasty 350Twenty Six HammersThree Crow BarsBig Rock

Reply:I hear ya, it's really kicking my azz that Miller is 4 weeks back logged on the 350 I want......I have checked a ton of dealers and no one has any in stock........The money is burning a hole in my pocket.......lol  Miller Dynasty 350Twenty Six HammersThree Crow BarsBig Rock
