Reply:Looks good. Hopefully you will be building many more.
Reply:hmm, Im not a gym rat but use free weights alot, I can see alot of smashed fingers with that design, mainly the plates on the bottom, there should be finger space between all the plates so when you grab to pull out and go to put them away the plates dont lean on your fingers,....NOT BASHING..just giving an opinion...best of luck getting the contract...Of all the things I lost I miss my mind the most...I know just enough about everything to be dangerous......You cant cure stupid..only kill it...
Reply:I like that a lot more than the christmas tree plate racks the university and schools gyms seem to have, basically a triangle with tube welded on the two sides that you slide the plates on, more often then not if you dont pay attention you get pinched
Reply:As far as the dumbells, I always prefered them at an angle laying down. When you go to grab them, you grab two by the handles, one in each hand. Your rack seems like you would have to slide them off, one at a time with two hands on each."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"
Reply:Looks more like a rack for a retail location than for a gym from where I sit..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:Looks like CAP barbell.Kind of a weird design. You have to remove a pair of dumbbells to get to the pair behind it?
Reply:i prefer the racks where the dumb bells lay on angle and you can just grab them with one hand, that seems like it would be a pain to do, especially after a few sets. The plates looks like they would be equally annoying to get out, kind of hard to improve on the christmas tree design since its so simple and extremely effective.ESAB MigMaster 275Miller Econotwin HFMiller Syncrowave 250
Reply:When I go to the gym its hard for me to even work out. between the ladies and all the bada$$ fabrication all around. People look at me crazy when im scoping out the machines. They are almost all works of art. They usually have al sorts of cool CNC bent tubes, and rolled sheets , laser cuts. I feel if your trying to compete, your gonna have to do better than that. X2 on the dumbbells. There is a reason every gym i have seen has them all laid out on top.www.performancealuminumfabrication.com
Reply:I spent many years training in the gym and still do. For a retail display, maybe. For a busy gym, I'd have to say no to the design.

Reply:as someone who has dealt alot with retail marketing, this is about right, normally your asked to fit as much as you can into a 4,6, or 8 ft (or some amount of predermined floor space that fits into a planogram) length and depth. this is meant for selling I would think since its for "third largest distributor of fitness equipment in the US" this is a store rack for a sporting goods store, and would be perfect for that, you get a clear view of many options, its compact so the area above it can have visual enticements etc. even when you sell a few of each it will still look well stocked and have some to "face up" at the end of the day. looks real good, thanks for sharing.Hobart Handler 190 Century 90amp on FluxCraftsman 200amp buzzbox
