So while messing around with the trees in the ugly weld thread I thought the embossed bar would make good antlers. So when someone mentioned deer in that thread my fate was sealed, I must make those antlers. Which meant I must make the skull cap. Well I got little carried away with the skull cap. Sometimes I have trouble with the concept of knowing when to quit.So for the last couple of nights I snuck back to the shop to mess around with the bar and some sheet metal.  Here are the results so far. I'm going to make vertebrae out of various pipe and a wall mount plaque. It's a life size reconstruction of the 14 point non typical buck in the photos. That mount is made from a set of sheds my dad found on the fence line and gave to me. He was lucky they were together.
