Reply:07 Busa with a fully built motor. Made 344hp at 14psi on Q16 the way it sits in these pictures.Started changing a few things up on it recently. Lowered tank, new tail, lowered front fender, new nose fairings without the ram air holes, new front rack with most of the electronics moved up front, AMS1000 boost controller, and more boost. Hope to see over 450 the next time on the dyno. Should have her done in the next couple of weeks.  It'll all be painted close to the original shade of blue.(Don't mind the green tape in the photo. I reinforced the seat pan area since I'm no light weight.)Last edited by low_crew_cab; 03-03-2011 at 11:35 PM.
Reply:Here is a few more pictures. Both of these are mine. 1 is a pro mod and the other is a bike I built last year to run at the local track every week. It's self starting as that makes for an easy afternoon at the track. The pro mod takes 2 people minimum to start. To keep this about welding, the lift under the bike in the background was fab'd and tig'd in my shop.P.S. BC, that speedway stuff is exciting to watch but I prefer to go straight to the finish line instead of going in circles looking for it.

Reply:Great pictures guys, keep em coming.I did some amateur MX and Dirt Track racing back in the 70's, I'll dig up some pictures and post them.Regards to all.Working on cars and bikes is my hobby, learning to weld the pieces together is my quest.
Reply:Of all the racing I've done over the years, I'd have to say that Flat Track was the most fun (and way less complicated to do when taking in to account the bike, the expense, the travel, etc.).We've had a few good riders come out of Canada over the years, like the Sehl brothers (Dave and Doug), Dave rode for the Harley factory for a while and won some National races in the U.S.I was a spectator at the Syracuse mile back in the mid 70's, at that race they had the Yamaha 750cc 2 stroke bikes, I will always remember that bit of history.  I believe the riders there that day with the 750cc 2 strokes were Kenny Roberts, Steve Baker, Rick Hocking, maybe one or two orthers but I can't remember exactly.10-4.Working on cars and bikes is my hobby, learning to weld the pieces together is my quest.
Reply:Rick Hocking  just died last month, he was 57........Suicide  Miller Dynasty 350Twenty Six HammersThree Crow BarsBig Rock
